Title of Position: Short-Form Video Strategist & Editor

We integrate directly with eBay to automate bookkeeping, track inventory and expenses, remove the tedious parts of reselling, and surface the insights sellers need to grow profitably. Our mission is to take the busywork out of reselling so sellers can focus on what really matters: building sustainable businesses.

We’re looking for a Short-Form Video Strategist & Editor who deeply understands short-form platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok, and has a proven track record of growing audiences on one or many of these platforms. You’ll take our existing library of ~200 long-form YouTube videos from the Justin Resells channel, identify the best moments, and turn them into short-form clips that perform–not just by cutting up videos, but by editing and packaging them so they fit each platform, grab attention, build trust, and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing and future Justin Resells YouTube videos and identify moments with strong short-form potential.

• Edit short-form clips with platform-native lengths, pacing, and aspect ratios.

• Write captions, hashtags, and descriptions that align with our brand voice and platform best practices.

• Suggest, coordinate, and test new, bespoke content concepts for each platform.

• Post content consistently to short-form platforms (for example, 3–5 times per week).

• Use analytics to track performance, report on growth and engagement, and iterate strategy based on data.

• Stay current with platform trends, algorithm updates, and creative formats.

• Take ownership of editorial and strategic decisions with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Proven, demonstrable success growing audiences on short-form content platforms

• Strong understanding of platform algorithms, trends, hooks, and retention strategies.

• Skilled at editing for short-form attention using tools like CapCut, Final Cut, or Premiere Pro.

• Ability to spot engaging moments from YouTube videos and repurpose them on other platforms in engaging ways.

Nice to have

• Experience with eBay, reselling, or e-commerce content.

• Familiarity with SaaS or creator-led businesses.

• Understanding of online communities and how to engage them through content.

• Basic graphic design or motion graphics skills to enhance short-form content.

Compensation

• This is a long-term contractor role

• Flexible on payment structure (hourly, per video, or monthly retainer).

• Budget is approximately $5,000/month, based on agreed deliverables.
